| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark pinkish grey. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. | |
| Notes: | Deposit context 622 is a lens of fill. It has a high proportion of pottery, which differentiates it from other lenses of fill in the area. This deposit is located west of the drain and east of the west scarp 255.5 E. This deposit context is cut by robbing trench 497. The removal of this context revealed crests of red, hard material. These crests also appear to the north and east of the context, though their formation process is unclear currently. This fill is part of a sequence of fills north of robbing trenches 596 and 497 that are not associated with any walls. It appears, at this point of excavation to be exterior space. The removal of this context also revealed more fill. | |
