Notes:   Context 6253 is a tile surface in the southern part of the courtyard of the Byzantine house, revealed by the removal of contexts 6250 and 6251. This is one of several contexts which could not be fully excavated in 2008 because part lay below wall 5508. This likely equates to 2008 context .
Context 6253 appears to be a built tile floor using floor tiles. Decision made to collect a sample for water flotation and dry sieve the remainder. The tiles were kept for weighing purposes.
Removal of context 6253 revealed another surface which appears to be a built floor of tiles (context 6260). Dating these various contexts will hopefully provide information about construction history of house in this area.
