Stratum:   2% inclusions - bone, very small angular pebbles
Description:   The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This vessel was resting atop the long-exposed surface that has been visible since the beginning of Session II-2009 (and before). The surface has been compacted by out foot traffic for a considerable portion of the last year, and was left as a martyr after the excavation of 5606 in the 2008 season.
Our next move will be to clean the surface (artificial or real) on which the pot rested.
