The soil color is dark greenish grey. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt. | | Notes: | | 6394 was opened when a change in the soil was noticed - it had more clay than the preceeding level (6386) and is also slightly darker. The soil has very large chunks of hardened clay that are difficult to break apart amidst an ashy soil similar to (but slightly darker than) that of overlying contexts. It is also turning up more pottery sherds than 6386 did.
