Description:   The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is well sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   The excavation of this context was taken following the excavation of 6403 - a soft level of fill that appeared as a kind of lens on the edge of pit cut 6363. It seems likely that this lens was missed in the 1960s excavations and that it was not visible in the soil profile until the excavation of 6398; or, alternatively, (and more logically/plausibly), this fill was always on the edge of the pit cut 6363, and this exposure from the past season of excavation could have made the section soft and more likely to crumble and erode, consequently, tis fill will not be included as part of the matrix for cut 6363.
