Description:   The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Context 6409 is a large roughly semicircular pit dense with pottery and tile, located at southern boundary of the courtyard of the Byzantine house. This pit is bounded on the south by wall 5285 and is cut by its foundation trench 6314. The density of inclusions led to dry sieve all of the contents.
From the sieve we recovered 3 coins (2009-105, 108, 112), a well preserved bronze key and a piece of worked bone. The bottom of this pit stops directly on a pebbly floor which is cut in the southeast by another cut of irregular shape abutting wall 5285.
Other small finds: iron scraps (including two nails; glass; stone tesserae; catapult ball?) (acutally a stone weight)
