Stratum:		60%: significant increase in cobbles and boulders; about the same as 6412 in number of bones, sherds, shells, tile fragments; also some glass fragments.
Description:		Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light greenish grey. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:		6416 is a well fill deposit opened after 6412 had been excavated approximately 0.60. The change was for purposes of attempting to maintain a consistent methodology. Soil composition continues to be slightly sandy silt with enough clay content to be compacted when squeezed in the hand. The smaller clay clumps in the sieve remain difficult to break apart. There are far fewer shells than in 6412, but a much larger number of stone inclusions. These consist of boulders (angular/spherical; subrounded/spherical; subrounded/tabular and platy) and cobbles of the same shape variation. 6416 was closed after taking a .55 m pass. There was no change in the soil. The new context we are opening is 6420.
