Description:   The soil color is light greenish white. The soil compaction is weakly cemented. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This context was laid against by 6514 and in turn appears to lie on the harder, red fill revealed by 6498 (or to cut it). The fills that we have been excavating, rather than cutting clearly into one another, seem slumped rather than cutting clearly into some kind of depression that once existed to the southeast, and appear to be a series of different filling events, perhaps for the purposes of raising the level of the room?
At the bottom of this level, we uncovered a flat level, still a fill, with tiles and small stones; this matched the stratum revealed by the excavation of 6514, and we will see if there is a continuation westward with the small martyr to the east of wall 6027. Regardless, the new fill still seems to cut the red stratum revealed in the context 6498.
