Description:   The soil color is light yellowish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We are excavating the foundation trench for wall 5562 in order to establish the chronology for the room. We forgot to get a picture first - sorry. The trench is truncated to the east by the pit (cut 6536), but itself truncates the trench for wall 6321. Thus, wall 5562 must have been built after wall 6321.
We have not reached the bottom of the trench but we are forced to stop because there is a concern that continuing to dig may cause the wall or surrounding soil to collapse.
