Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the E. The soil is poorly sorted.
Notes:   Context 6785 is a fill of mixed soil in the western part of the room west of the courtyard of the Byzantine house. It abuts the northern face of structure 6768 and continues west beneath wall 5724. Part of context 6785 was overlaid by a shallow covering from context 6784, but was mostly revealed during the removal of context 6776.
The soil of context 6785 is mixed between dark reddish brown clayey silt and dark reddish black clayey silt. There are 20% poorly sorted inclusions (stone, tile, bone, pottery).
Because of the lack of surfaces above, it is difficult to intepret context 6785 as a leveling fill. Instead it is likely some type of dumped fill. As excavation continued it also became apparent that this fill continued further to the east. Because of the mixed nature of the soil it has been difficult with this context and several of the previous ones to properly define their limits.
