| Notes: | Context 6803 is a semi-compact stratum directly underneath the clayey lump, 6801. The soil is semi-compact, with some flecks of charcoal, and inclusions of tile and pottery. Underneath 6803, we were able to continue tracing some of the compact, reddish-brown layer, revealed by the excavation of contexts 6791 and 6794. The excavation of 6801 and 6803 has shown that the stone feature revealed in the excavation of context 6797 is NOT a NS wall. Later notes 19/5/10 JB, KSS Furher cleaning of the areas below 6791, 6794, and 6801 have in fact revealed 4 different contexts (7004, 7006, 7007, and 7018) | |
