| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. | |
| Notes: | We are excavating context 6834 to better understand its chronological relationship to 6825. It has looser fill with more inclusions, so is possibly a pit. Small coin (2010-055) found while cleaning area to the E of 6834 to discover if it is a continuation of a pit. Panos Kakouros (PK) has explored outside the context to try to understand the possible boundaries of a pit. To the east the soil seems to lack the large and small inclusions that are seen in 6834. We have decided to finish excavating in the area at 6834 in order to see if the soil with fewer inclusions is found below it. Marty Wells suggests that this area was affected by Broneer and 1960s excavations. | |
