Stratum:   10-15% pottery, tile, and pebbles; stone - rounded and sub-rounded, tabular, 20-25 cm.
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Deposit 6839 was opened to investigate fill cut by 6836 and 6831. Soil was quite red and contained more stones than did adjacent contexts. Sanders wants to excavate southern side of wall 6526 in order to see if there is similar soil in that area, whereupon this context was closed.
