The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. It is silty sand. | | Notes: | | 6918 is a soft reddish brown soil with large pebble and tile inclusions overlaid by 6912. The areas immediately to the north, west, south and south east look similar to each other, and are harder and more compact, and are a more grayish brown color with fewer inclusions. We are excavating to see if the optically similar areas surrounding 6918 continue underneath it, as would happen if some sort of a small depression in the original surface was later filled in. We almost immediately hit a new context of softer, darker grayish brown soil that does not look like the areas surrounding 6918, which are optically similar to each other.
