Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   6931 is the fill under and around the two most western blocks, which we removed, on the north side of drain structure 6827 between cut 6737 and the drain structure. This is the first of several atempts to remove sturctural blocks in order to date the construction of the drain. These first two blocks covering 6931 were removed by the workmen before we could be sure that no contamination would occur. Thus 6931 should be considered less definite than the contexts we will take. The soil contained a few sherds and quickly exposed the cut 6737.
