Stratum:   10%: tile, pottery, charcoal, small (fine) pebbles, a few larger cobble stone blocks (7-8cm); several murex shells (1 complete)
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the E. The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Context 6941 was opened over the same area as context 6935 in the room NW of the courtyard after the removal of the rock pit (6940) and its associated charcoal. The soil is the same throughout this layer with some bone and pottery (10-15%). Several large animal teeth were found in this context (largest 0.55x0.15), as well as several murex shells. After 14cm were excvated our pickman Thanasis noticed 2 cuts - one running along the southern face of wall 5562, and the other running along the western face of 6321. As wall 6321 abuts 5562 and the cut along wall 6321 seems to cut that of 5562, we will excavate that one first, as it appears later.
