Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark brownish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   6944 was opened after excavation of 6941 revealed a N-S strip of browner soil next to wall 6321 in the room NW of the couryard in the Byzantine house. This strip appeared, along with a similar strip running E-W along the S face of wall 5562, which appeared to be truncated by 6944.
