The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt. | | Notes: | | 6977 is a small area between walls 6764 and 6765. It is loose reddish brown soil with cobbles, small and medium pebbles, ceramic, and bone inclusions. We are trying to discover its relationship to the 2 walls, as well as to 6962, which we had to stop before complete excavation of the context to preserve the integrity of wall 6765. Context 6977 goes so deep (83.67) at this point that we are physically unable to continue digging. We hope to continue excavation when the areas around it reach a lower level and allow access.
