Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light brownish grey. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   We are excavating pit fill 7034, which is the fourth from top of 6929. It is a layer made entirely of soft ash. In the center of this layer is the large stone described in 7014. We hope to clarify the height of this stone, the depth of the pit, and the nature of burning activities here. As he excavates, PK has commented that the large stone may be part of a column drum or a column base (7035). A water sieve sample was taken to compare with other ash layers found to the east. The large stone is about 45 cm high and the ash continues under it. We will continue to pedestal the stone and then close the context. To the south of the structure 7035, PK has come down on a surface that he believes to be the bottom of the pit. This soil is distinct by its dark reddish brown color and the presence of cobble inclusions
