Description:   The soil color is reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This little lip of earth was left orphaned after we removed 655 and 420. We had to remove it to get at the layers below it, but it was extremely narrow. We aren't necessarily able to say much about this layer, since it was surrounded by other, later layers and is probably at least fairly contaminated. It was clearly distinguished from the surrounding materials, that is, 655 and 420, but it could easily have been cut by either or both of them.
