Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the S. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This deposit has been cut through by 7083, as well as by the 1960's excavations, and so there is very little left of the original deposit. It is a compacted reddish brown soil, very likely dumped material that was compacted by walking, though there is no indication that it was a well used floor. Upon removal of this thin layer, we came down upon a very nice pebble and earth floor. The southern portion of the floor was cut by the foundation trench for wall 5741, and the western portion was cut by the foundation trench for wall 7039. This is in the room NE of the courtyard.
