Stratum:   ceramic sherds, bone, metal, rooftiles, coin, some small rounded pebbles and subrounded and angular course pebbles
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the E. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This is an earth and pebble floor that extends south from the robbing/foundation trenches south of wall 7040, east to the edge of the pit, west to the pedestal around 7092 to the north side of wall 5741. On its western side it is truncated by the lower foundation trench of wall 7039. It was also truncated by the large shallow bothros in the south central portion of the room. It appears that there is a lower deposit in the bothros, so this will be taken out after this floor is removed, and we are careful to avoid contamination in this area.
Upon removal of the flooring, we are coming down on a hard reddish area throughout the room. The flooring is fairly consistent, but there are more rounded pebbles in the northern area than in the southern area.
