| Description: | Top slope of the context is moderate down to the S. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy clay. | |
| Notes: | 7196 is compact floor layer found under 7094/7193. There are clay inclusions, especially on the west of 6789 and 6987. We will be taking water sieve samples from 2 areas that we have been careful to keep uncontaminated. We hope to learn what this surface was used for. The date of this surface could help us to understand the dates of walls 6821 and 6789 and 6987. PK has finished excavation and has revealed a layer that is continuous across the bottom of this context. It is also beneath 7190, creating -- at this point -- unity between walls 7138 and 6789. Excavation of this context also has revealed a small line of stones to the very north of the context (7292) | |
