Stratum: | 50% inclusions. Ceramic, tile, fine and medium pebbles that are subrounded and tabular, cobbles that are subrounded and spherical, bone, shell, clam shells, charcoal, iron, egg shell
Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes: | The very top layer had approximately 75% inclusions, consisting mostly of cobbles and tile. The density and size of inclusions decresed as more soil was cleared. We began by sieving 50% of the context but after about 20 - 25 cm we noticed a high density of small bones. Given the small bones, we decided to sieve 100% of the context. 19.4.12 At 85.98 elevation the soil changed. We stopped excavating, covered the bottom of the context with a bit of sieved soil and plastic in order to protect and then proceeded to take down the well stones of 671.
