| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy clay. | |
| Notes: | 7281 is a fill (levelling fill?) under floor 7196. We initially sieved 100% but the lack of finds led us to sieve 50%. We are excavating this level in hopes of creating a somewhat level and unified space across the trench (today is the last day of session 3), and conveniently this unit was the next to go stratigraphically. South of approximately 1042.10N, PK has revealed a brown soil with many tile inclusions North of this edge is a flatter, redder soil with charcoal and clay inclusions -- this soil seems to run under the browner soil Directly north of wall 7150, PK has also explosed 2 stones, which may have a relationship with wall 7200 The soil slopes to the south -- we will take 2 elevations -- N (83.82) and S (83.70) | |
