Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty sand.
Notes:   A new context was started for the well fill (733) to separate the soil above from the new, yellower soil below 85.21. This context continued to have a high concentration of fine table-ware, glazed and decorated with animal figures in the champe de levee style. Some cookware was also in the context as well as an intact jug (1004.32 N/ 260.40E and 85.32 elevation at rim). Which was removed to the museum with dirt inside in case residue analysis could be completed on its contents. A soil sample was taken from the surrounding matrix (sample #2) as well in case other food stuffs could be recovered, which will be compared with the other 2 soil samples from this context. The well appears to be narrowing, though only slightly, with depth and shifting to the west (see map for bottom of 726).
