Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark greenish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   After closing context 787, work continued with the removal of sediment in pit 788. The pit is surrounded by the reddish layer all around but at southwest area, where the dark loose layer 787 seemes to go deeper and needs to get investigated further.
The sediment in 788 is firmer than 787 that layed on top of it, and the workmen often use the small pick to break the chunks of dirt.
According to Panos, the red layer (the more compact one without rocks, next to wall 540) on north and northwest of the pit, is cut by 789 and 787; the other red layer on the east and southeast (with rock inclusions), has been deposited after 789 and 787.
