Description:   The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is hard. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   This context is the fill W of Wall 540. We decided to dig this context with the hope of identifying the foundation of Wall 540.
While Thanasis was excavating this context he identified the boundary of a possible pit (932).
14 June 2012
After understanding that what appeared to be a pit under 931 (932), was actually still part of the same fill (931), we continued excavating this context.
This hard - packed soil, poorly soorted, and with very few pottery sherds, came on a layer rich in big pieces of tiles. This fill extends under all 931 and as 931 is cut by pit 845, by the robbing trench 818 and by 869.
