Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   This is the soft earth between the two boulders running E-W that were uncovered in 935. Iron and glass have been recovered as well as sherds of seemingly large vessels (=LR amphora 2). This is generally the area where the amphora and lid were discovered in 935. Very large sherds have been uncovered from very large vessels. We are photographing (2012 602-604). We seem to have 3 amphorae. A piece of marble, revetment or flooring, recovered. We have 4 buckets of pottery. Small pebble mosaic floor fragment recovered like those from S913. The bottom of the context is another boulder clearly part of the same wall. The block must have been removed before the amphora were put there. Photographs of context end (2012 605-607). The context was full of pottery.
