Description:   Top slope of the context is moderate down to the NW. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   Originally thought to constitute the remainder of the soil mound in the SE corner of the trench, 296 turned out to be a relatively thin layer extending where rubble wall 288 once was and spreading out over the top of cut 307.
