Stratum:   lots of smallish rocks
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the SW. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   we excavated this context because it lay over the redder soil layer covering most of the east half of the trench.
Initially we wondered whether the rocks in 365 were the same as those visible in the north side of 325 and at the bottom of 322, which danielle and guy think are backfill for the construction of the stoa. But costas says the rocks in 365 are different-- possibly another instance of backfill.
On excavation of 365 further east costas realized that this rocky layer runs under a thin layer of red soil that covers most of the rest of the east half of the trench. We therefore closed 365 and began to excavate the red soil layer as context 368. we will finish the rocky layer next as a new context (370), and will later combine it with 365.
at this point costas also determined that we have two new contexts: a thin red layer that runs at least over the west half of the trench and under 365 and 370 (the full extent of this red soil is TBD), and a small patch of blacker, rocky soil to the southeast of this red soil and cutting into it.
