Stratum:   pottery, small to coarse (mostly medium) spherical to tabular rounded (very few) to angular pebbles, a couple cobbles, small bits of clay
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the SE. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   this layer lay under 580. although we think that they are part of the same filling action, we are excavating them separately because of the difference in soil: 583 is much less rocky.
