| Notes: | 7/6/2016, 1:35pm: this cleaning context represents the activities of the 2016 field school in archaeological science at Corinth. At around 11:30am today we were asked to stopexcavation and leave the area so that the field school could study the balk ofour section line. We had fortunately just finished a context (586), so we cleaned up,m took elevations along the top of thebalk, and did photogrammetry on the entire room. At this point we are unsure exactly what the field school plans to do. We will record more when more information is available. 8/6/16, 7:58am: upon arriving to our area this morning we found 5 blue tags left by the field school that were labeled Context 586 (the cleaning context Emilio took out yesterday to record the actions taken by the field school in his area. It seems that the field school did not use the context number we had taken out for them for our area (587), and thus any material they removed yesterday (we still don't know if they did remove any) was probably mixed with what they took from emilio's area. We will ask them today and record their answer here. We later learned that they did not remove any material from our area. | |
