| Description: | Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt. | |
| Notes: | This is fill for a potential grave located in the middle of the south aisle next to south wall 929. it lies parallel with the wall and Grave 2016-07. The cut for the grave is unclea at this point. The size of the context is about half of that for Grave 2016-07 (the eastern half) As we excavated, we began to uncover what looks like a foundation socle ro a wall running on a slightly different axis than Wall 929. Turns out, digging this fill revealed the cut for a grave further to the west (Grave 2016-08), against wall 929. This fill is on top of an as yet unknown deposit. This fill is cut by Grave 2016-08. *This foundation may also be a hard (concrete?) surface. Further consideration is needed. | |
