Title:   Oblong pit deposit in Room 7
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1108
Context:   238
Date:   2014/05/09
Stratum:   40-50% inclusions of larger stones, tiles
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   After the pass through 233, an oblong pit deposit came up. The space was marked by some relatively large stone. It was remarked that the deposit could be a grave. As the deposit was being excavated, on the east end, the deposit is turning into a circular feature - almost like a true pit. The pit is located on the southern edge of the room. It is unclear, though, why the pit was located in this particular location. Perhaps, as we continue further down in subsequent deposits, the location and/or function of this pit will make more sense.
