Area:   Temple E, Southeast
Title:   Oblong pit in Construction Floor, Room 7
Notebook:   1108
Context:   248
Date:   2014/05/09
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The context shape in plan is oblong/irregular. The top break of the cut is sharp. The sides of the cut are vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is n/a. Truncation: Perhaps truncated by cut 243..
Notes:   In removing the deposit filling this cut, we overdug by several cm, destroying the ottom of the cut (the fill was given 247). The overdigging was obvious, as bits of broken pots and bone fragments began sticking out of the scarp at the bottom. Above the overdigging the cut walls were sharply differentiated from the fill, with a clear, vertical profile. We decided to place the lower elevation of the cut just above the first bone and pot fragments sticking out of the scarp.
