Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We continued to the NE of drain capstones 232. This small patch is characterized by a reddish soil and was revealed by the removal of 264 and 270. We decided to remove this patch because it overlay its surrounding surfaces. There was no evidence for carbonized organics, but it is possible that a fire was responsible for the reddish color of the soil. The removal of surface 271 revealed a dark brownish surface.
