Date:   2014/05/15
Description:   Structure materials: limestones, field stones. Material size: 0.30 m (l.), 0.20 m (w.), 0.17 (h.); 0.12 m (l.), 0.11 m (w.), 0.09 m (h.); 0.27 m (l.), 0.29 m (w.), 0.19 m (h.). Material finish: worked; squared. Material construction: irregular.
Notes:   Wall 310 was revealed by the removal of fills 303 and 309. The wall is cut by drain 232 to its north and seems to be cut by drain 164 to its south. It seems that the wall once bounded the courtyard to its west, and that it possibly bounded the N-S road on its east side. It is possible that the wall continues immediately north of drain 232 and that it can be associated with the wall beneath wall 51 west of Unit 2, Room A. These connections and its continuation are still unknown. As it is preserved, the wall is irregular in its courses, but it seems to have consisted of large, squared blocks now robbed out.
Later note (39/05/2014): the removal of levelling fills 381 and 392 revealed the top of Wall 310. The wall was out of use when road 358 = 363, which covered its top, was laid down (late 13th century, npd).
