Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1108
Context:   312
Date:   2014/05/15
Lot:   Lot 2014-022
Stratum:   15% of medium and coarse pebbles of rounded and sub-rounded shape; ceramics; tiles; bones
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is light brownish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We decided to sweep the east side of drain 232, because we wanted to identify the differences in the surface of that section of the courtyard. The sweeping revealed an almost rectangular cut immediately to the east of drain 232. The cut should be connected with the robbing trench of drain 232. The soil was soft and had carbonized organics. The removal of the fill revealed part of the drain, but the capstones were missing. We can now be sure that the fill reflects the event of the robbing of the capstones, but not the drain itself. Plus, we can now assume that the course of the drain continued to the east.
