Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the SE. The soil color is dark brownish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We started excavating the use fill of drain 232 in order to investigate its use and construction date. The fill that has been removed has almost no inclusions, the soil is dark brown and very soft. It is noteworthy that no more than 15 sherds were collected. During excavation we noticed that the colour changed. It became lighter and appeared to have a bigger percentage of carbonized organics, so we decided to remove the use fill of drain 232 in two different contexts.
Later note (30/05/2014): regarding the flotation sample, the percentage of the total context that was sampled was not determined.
