Description:   Top slope of the context is moderate. The soil color is dark brownish black. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is well sorted. It is mixed- see description.
Notes:   When the first layer of fill was removed from the corridor N of the churhc, as Context 313, several deposits of ash or charcoal appeared on the surface revealed below. Context 325 was the westermost ashy deposit. It came up as an extremely dark, soft matrix of charcoal and sand filling an ovoid-shaped shallow cut to the S of Room 7. 100% of the context was sampled for flotation. We believe context 325 is the fill of the fire pit.
