Context:   340
Date:   2014/05/19
Stratum:   Less than 5% of rounded and sub-rounded fine pebbles
Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is light brownish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   The recovery of the column drum fragment in surface 330 immediately adjacent to the north side of drain 332 suggested to us that the five boulders immediately to the north are the evidence of the robbing for the drain capstones. It is possible that they removed part of the capstones and took away the ones that they needed. As for the ones they didn't need, it is possible that they were left next to the drain. The size of these boulders is approximately 0.48 x 0.22, 0.36 x 0.23. The dismantling of these boulders revealed a reddish soil mixed with tiles of medium size (approx. 0.16 x 0.28).
