Title:   Fill of shallow pit in Corridor
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1108
Context:   342
Date:   2014/05/19
Stratum:   20-30% inclusions, primarily coarse pebbles and small sub-rounded cobbles
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light greyish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   Deposit 342 was thought to be another pit, given the rocks lying on the surface. Because we found two pits on the W side of the space (given that the rocks were coming out of the post holes), we thought perhaps another post hole would have come out. After completing the removal of the deposit, not much was discerned in terms of the use of the deposit. It doesn't seem to be a post hole, because the shape is rather oval.
Perhaps be excavating the deposits underneath 342, there might be an indication of what this is deposit is actually doing.
