Context:   355
Date:   2014/05/20
Stratum:   25% of rounded and sub-rounded medium pebbles and cobbles; ceramics; tiles; bones
Description:   Top slope of the context is moderate down to the W. The soil color is dark brownish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   We decided to continue our investigation of the road lenses north of drain 332. We started excavating the lens of road NE of the drain, because this lens overlay the other lenses. Strosis 355 has less pebbles and cobbles than 348, and its soil is softer. It is likely that deposit 355 is the second strosis of the substratum for road 348. The removal of substratum 355 revealed a large oblong sub-rectangular cut, which was unexpected, and a part of a road surface to the south.
