Description:		Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:		We started excavating the fill of the oblong sub-rectangular cut in order to investigate the reason for its creation and because stratigraphically we need to remove the later deposit first so that we can avoid contamination of the other lenses. The size of the cut is too large (2.08 x 0.63 m) for it to be a grave. The removal of the fill did not give any answers. The bottom of the cut seems to be a dark brownish soil. Our field director (Jody Cundy) suggested that maybe this cut reflects a structure, which has been robbed out. Unfortunately, for the time being we cannot identify the structure. Later note (30/05/2014): after further excavations it seems that this cut reflects the removal of a N-S wall (late 13th century npd)
