| Notes: | This is the stub wall that was laid atop Wall 510, which, along with Wall 156, comprises the S boundary of Rooms 7 and 8 of Unit 2 and forms the N boundary of the corridor N of the church nave. This stub wall is not a true wall but a single course of unworked limsestone. We will continue to excavate beneath this wall to see whether we can find a foundation trench cutting for the wall below it, to date the wall below this one. Stub wall 436 predates Deposit Context 437 because 437 abuts 436. Animal bones, 0.21 kg, thrown. | |
