Title:   Soft dark fill of cut in Unit 2
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1108
Context:   480
Date:   2014/06/06
Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted.
Notes:   The removval of context 469 revealed a cut bordered by the hard packed material below 469 to the west, the baulk to the south, and cut 464 to the north. The fill is darker and softer than the adjacent soil. The soil si slightly moist despite there being no rain for several days. As we finished taking out the fill along the border with cut 464, we realized that the cut slightly overlays this fill, and a second lens should have been removed from 464 bfefore this cut was excavated. The lens left in 464 is harder than the fill here, so we assumed it was deposited earlier.
