Title:   Fill N of pier base in church
Category:   Deposit
Notebook:   1108
Context:   506
Date:   2014/06/11
Stratum:   5%: coarse angular pebbles, some rooftile, pottery
Description:   The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   Deposit context 506 is a fill N of the NW pier base (structure 23) in the church in unit 2. This fill is disturbed by the pits excavated in the first session of the 2014 excavation season (44, 45) that further investigation has revealed to be an osteotheke and a child grave (deposit 529 and 524 for clarification). The removal of the fill 506 revealed a darker looser strip along the edge of the robbed out N wall of the church (structure context 20) and a more compact fill beneath.
