Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   This is the fill of a small pit at the southwest corner of the South Hall. The pit is a quarter circle, apparently overlaid by the south and west walls. Since these walls will not be removed any time soon, we will dig this section of the pit to look for evidence of the area's use before the South Hall was built. After almost half a meter, the fill has many carbon inclusions, so we open a new context.
