Description:   The soil color is dark reddish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:   The circular feature was first identified after the removal of Context 647 on the 4th. Nearby it another circular/oval feature was identified at the same time (661). Context 660/Cut 665 appeasr to be a small pit which contained ash, charcoal, and bones in a reddish soil along with pieces of pottery. It was decided to sample the entire context (2 buckets, 46 L) as it was relatively small and may include other refuse from cooking. It was possibly used as a single-deposit refuse pit.
